Please follow these rules at all times. All new rules will be bold.
Kingdom Hearts: War of Blade is a Role Playing Game (RPG) created for people who are literate in role playing (RP'ing) or those who are willing to learn how to be. The content in this site can easily reach PG 13 and sometimes (only in very special cases) reach levels of adult/mature nature. I'm not saying it's okay to have all the RP'ing R, I'm just trying to stress that the rules on violence and cursing are very lax.
Onto the Rules!
War of Blade operates on a monthly warnings policy. When you break a rule, you get a warning from a staff member in the form of a Private Message (PM) telling why you have been warned. If you get 3 warnings, you are banned for a week. After that week ban, if you get two more warnings your username is deleted and you are permanently banned. At the end of the month all warnings are wiped clean
If you want, you can appeal via PM to the staff member who sent you the warning. However, we are usually lenient in giving warnings, so when you get one it is well deserved 9 times out of 10.
The whole point of warnings is to let you know that you are using this board incorrectly, not to bash you on a personal or seniority basis.
Remember, everyone on here is equal. From the newest newbie to the oldest, crusty oldbie. Hell, even I'll have a warning to my name once and a while.
Rules:
1) No Spamming!
This is a big rule, and it covers:
- Posting 1 word/sentence replies
- Posting meaningless replies/topics
- Repeated double posting (remember, you can edit and delete your own posts!)
- Posting topics in the wrong board
- Consistent bad spelling/grammar that could have been easily avoided (ie: No full stops in a post.)
As said before, we are lenient and will not give you a warning for one small mistake that you make.
2) No Discrimination
This covers:
- Racism
- Sexism
- Religious hatred
- Personal flaming
These are all looked on as being very serious. You wouldn't use racist language in real life (and if you did, you would probably be carted off to the police) so do not use it online.
3) 18+ or Illegal Links/Images
Do not post images of an illegal or explicit nature on here. The rules are lax, but I do not want to see any adult images or links to adult sites on here. If you want to tell people about something funny you found that is a bit risky then link to it and make it clear in your post that it is work safe/mind safe or explicit.
The last thing we want is a member grounded from using the computer because he clicked on the wrong topic while their parent was in the room.
4) No Member Bashing
I'm repeating myself, but its no fun to have someone continually hi-jack threads flaming another member.
5) No Staff Bashing
Us staff members get no payment for our labors looking out for the boards, and as such we kindly ask you to respect us. We are not gods, we make mistakes, but don't think you can abuse us.
6) No Mini-Modding
What this means is if a member spams, double posts, bumps or breaks any of the above or below rules, do not post anything about it or anything that will make you look like a moderator. It is the mods' job to handle these things. However, if you wish to advise us about it, feel free to drop us a PM. We're not always looking and we can easily miss something that may be upsetting you.
7) Cursing/Violence Levels
I don't care if you guys swear and curse at one anothers' characters as you RP, but it better not get out of hand. I don't want to see swear word after swear word in one post. Keep it limited, okay?
Next, about cursing Out of Character (OOC), you guys better not curse at one another. If you're saying something about a particular topic, or it's just part of your speech, fine, whatever, but no direct attacks.
Violence levels can get just as high as it gets in the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy games, but higher. Mods will be monitoring you at all times, so if you go over board, you'll be notified.
8) Character
- Please refer tothe thread below this one to learn about canon/world characters, OCs, and keyblade wielders.
9) Rules for IC interaction
A. No godmoding. Just don't do it.
B. Character deaths. If you want to kill another persons character talk it over with them first via pm. Killing a character without the permission of that characters creation will result in a week ban.
C. Do not argue with a mod's ruling in a thread; if you think it unfair, you may appeal for a second opinion, but you may not simply argue. The issue will be resolved by the mods.
D. As a general rule, NPCs and untaken characters will be played by the moderation team - usually world moderators. Exceptions must be given permission by the mods first.
Lastly:
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF STARTING THREADS!
If you have an idea for a discussion topic, serious or not, do not afraid of starting a topic about it. Just make sure it is in the right forum and does not break any of the above rules (which is amazingly easy) and you are all set.
THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL:
If you are not sure, send a PM (private message) to a staff member. For any reason, we will help in any way we can.
